Solvent Recovery Systems Built By Pesco
Pollution Control Industries, Now Tradebe Environmental Services, LLC of Chicago, Illinois.
Pesco has designed and built a 1,200 Liter per hour hazardous industrial solvent recovery system for PCI. It separates light hydrocarbons from a middle cut oils and heavy cut oils, as well as from solids. The system has been in operation since early 2005. Since then PCI has ordered and received a second Solvent Recovery System from Pesco which includes a thin film evaporator. This system has been commissioned in June of 2009 and has been operating since then. Design capacity 500 GPH.
Brent Industries Inc.,
Brent Industries of Brent, Alabama, a large industrial laundry company purchased two Xylene re-distillation systems from us in 1995 and 1996. Pesco continues to advise Brent in the operation and maintenance of these systems. At each facility they process 135,000 liters per day each of contaminated xylene, which would otherwise have to be incinerated or disposed of as a hazardous waste. The Pesco systems recover 98% of the solvent for reuse in their own laundry. Pesco designed and built these systems, which consist of flash evaporators and vapor fed fractionation columns. They separate the cleaning solvent from dirt, grease, dye, and from other solvents. These systems have been operating successfully for over 12 years.
Brent Industries System – Design Capacity – 1,500 GPH
Sartomer Inc. of Chatham, Virginia.
Pesco has designed and built a 3 column fractionation system for Sartomer, which separates Toluene and Heptane from polymers and from each other (this is a very complex separation). This system was commissioned in June of 2,000, and has been recovering clear on spec product for re-use in the plant for over 13 years. This system is totally automated and operates with minimal attendance. Design Capacity 120 GPH.
Eden Custom Processing LLC (ECP):
In 2002, Pesco designed and built a state of the art solvent recovery facility in Eden, North Carolina. The facility includes a large Hastalloy C thing film evaporator, combined with a set of Stainless Steel Packed Columns. The system includes a vacuum system capable of achieving vacuums down to 50 mmHg. This state of the art fractionation system can process many different solvents to better than Virgin Solvent Purity. This system has been processing primarily NMP combined with salts, water and other contaminants. It has been doing this for Solvay, and returns the NMP back to Solvay for reuse.
In 1998, Pesco designed and built a state of the art solvent recovery facility in Roanoke, Virginia.
The facility includes a forced circulation evaporator, combined with set of Stainless Steel Packed Columns. The system includes a vacuum system capable of achieving vacuums down to 25 mmHg. This state of the art fractionation system can process many different solvents to better than Virgin Solvent Purity. For the past 10 years the system has been processing primarily Mono, Di and Tri Ethylene Glycol, (from Polyester Manufacturers) separating the various glycol fractions from each other and from polymeric solids, and water.
Green View Technologies (GVT) – Rollinsford, New Hampshire:
In 2011 Pesco designed and built a Used Motor Oil Re-refinery for GVT. The system was brought on line in 2012 and has been producing Group 2 API Approved Base Lube since then.
